BLENDED GROUPS

For blended groups (where teaching is a mixture of in-person and online) the first five weeks of the autumn term term (from the 2nd October to 10th November) will be in-person at Kemptown Bookshop. Classes will then be taught online and return in-person from 11th March to the end of the summer term on 24th May.

WEEKEND SCHOOLS

Spring weekend schools will in-person on 8th, 9th and 10th March and online on 16th March. You can find out more and book online here.

Publishing Day will be 18th May and the script consultations will be on the morning of Sunday 19th May. All online. More details here.

Chris Sansom is another writer who completed the Creative Writing Programme a few years ago and has gone on to establish himself as a well-respected writer of historical thrillers - you may have read some of his Shardlake books. Winter in Madrid is set during the Spanish Civil War and is a wonderful, taut and well paced political thriller.

She has just finished her sixth novel, the third in a second trilogy of history novels called 'Insurrection'. Her first trilogy is named after her first novel, 'Brethren'

Bronwen Griffith's 'A Bird in the House'

Bronwen's first novel was published last year by Three Hares Publishing. 'A Bird in the House' is about loss, secrets and the redeeming power of friendship. The story is about Mohamed and his young son Ahmed, who flee war-torn Libya after the death of Mohamed's wife. Arriving in England, the stumble, headlong into the seemingly tranquil world of Betty, a widow, who has been left to cope with her seven-year old great niece, Savannah, for the summer.
