CWP tutor Bethan Roberts will be chatting about her novel Graceland with Felicity Beckett this Sunday 12th May at 4pm at Sarah Arnett's Artist's Open House in Hove. It's free!
Graceland fictionalises the early life of Elvis Presley, focusing on his relationship with his mother, Gladys. It tells the story of how a poor boy from Mississippi became the global King of Rock n' Roll, and asks what this meant for his beloved mama.

Bethan has published five novels and writes drama for BBC Radio 4. Her publications include The Good Plain Cook (Serpent’s Tail, 2008), which was a Radio 4 Book at Bedtime. In 2012 Chatto and Windus published My Policeman, the story of a 1950s policeman, his wife, and his male lover. The book was made into a major motion picture starring Harry Styles. Mother Island (Chatto, 2014), received a Jerwood Fiction Uncovered prize. Graceland is her most recent novel.
