Dear All,

After our successful literary evening in September when Umi Sinha and Noel O'Reilly read from their recently published novels we are pleased to offer another event, this time with Lizzie Enfield.

Lizzie Enfield

Lizzie Enfield 2Creative Writing Programme tutor and writer Lizzie (aka Elizabeth) Enfield discusses her latest novel, Ivy and Abe, the story of two people, spanning their lifetimes and set in a series of alternate realities. It's a story about love, loss, life and living with the question "What if?" at its heart.

During the evening Lizzie will read extracts and discuss the books unusual reverse chronology, the construction of the novel though a series of interlinked short stories, the themes of chance and fate, the aspect of physics which inspired her and the task of sustaining credible characters over a time period of seventy years.

Venue: The Writers’ Place, Jew Street

Time: 7pm – 9pm

Date: Friday, 15th February

The event is FREE but we only have limited places. To reserve seats, please go to: https://newwritingsouth.com/events/page/2

Whether you’ve worked with Lizzie on the programme or not, this will be a great opportunity to enjoy some excellent writing and will be of interest to both short story writers and novelists in its consideration of structure, characterisation and theme.
